“In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line; he will do what is just and right in the land. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.” Jeremiah 33:15-16.
We are in “WAITING.” Advent is the season of Waiting to Commemorate the birth of our LORD and Savior, JESUS CHRIST. It is the season set aside to symbolically prepare for the announcement of the coming Savior of all to the world. This sacred season shines the light on four themed weeks that are characters of who JESUS is. Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love are divine character traits that describe our Lord and Savior. Advent also points to the present condition of the Body of Christ in these last and evil we live in.
It seems as if we have diminished the sacrifice of JESUS as was “wait” to soon return to this earth. No matter how we fantasize in our way being ready for the return of JESUS we still must be ready according to the Word of GOD. This is why Advent is so pivotal to commemorate. It points to our spiritual exile of “waiting” and how to prepare through GOD’s Holy Word for JESUS' second return. Like the joy of CHRIST-mas is to some so should the Spirit of Advent be to Christians. Let us come now this 1st week of Advent and light our physical or Spiritual candle of HOPE.
Remember:
The prophecy of Jesus' arrival came to fruition. Therefore, let us let the guidance of Advent help us prepare for His 2nd coming.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Thank you for the divine way of Advent to Memorialize our Lord and Savior’s birth and prepare for His Holy divine return. May the Hope of His return be the manager in our hearts. -In Your Matchless Name, Jesus, Amen.

Food For Thought:
“The celebration of Advent is possible only to those who are troubled in soul, who know themselves to be poor and imperfect, and who look forward to something greater to come."
