"But as for me, I will look expectantly for the Lord and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me." -Micah 7:7.
The hardest thing for most Christians to do is "WAIT ON GOD." Waiting on GOD requires intentional patience until GOD speaks or moves on what you are waiting for. Many times, we choose not to WAIT on GOD because of two major things. One, you may not get the answer you want from GOD, or you may think it takes GOD too long to answer your request. Two, either Christians or non-Christians have a challenge in "just waiting." Let me remind you that WAITING is a part of our everyday life. It is unavoidable everyone has to wait in one way or another. For example, you wait at the red light, at a stop sign, at a doctor's appointment, or in the waiting room until your number is called. And no matter what you do to entertain yourself while waiting, you MUST WAIT!
Question. What do you need that only GOD can do? Don't be shy. Just say whatever it is you need that you know only Holy GOD can do for you. Next, be willing to "joyfully" enter GOD'S WAITING ROOM and WAIT with patience, trust, and expectation. In GOD's waiting room, you can experience peace, rest, clarity, and spiritual direction.
Psalm 130:5-7 amplified version says, "I wait [patiently] for the Lord, my soul [expectantly] waits, and in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchmen for the morning, more than the watchmen for the morning. O [people of God], hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is lovingkindness, and with Him is abundant redemption." This scripture is an invitation to how GOD wants us to WAIT on Him. When we choose to WAIT on GOD, we are intentionally choosing to be in His perfect plan, purpose, and will. WAITING on GOD is when you decide you want His Will more than your desires because you know it's not in vain.
Remember:
Praise and worship are the core elements to exercise when you are listening for GOD's small, still voice in His WAITING ROOM.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly FATHER,
Thank you for your waiting room where your presence, peace, directions, and caring love abides. -In JESUS's name, Amen.

Food For Thought:
"If the Lord Jehovah makes us wait, let us do so with our whole hearts; for blessed are all they that wait for Him. He is worth waiting for. The waiting itself is beneficial to us: it tries faith, exercises patience, trains submission, and endears the blessing when it comes. The Lord's people have always been a waiting people." -Charles Spurgeon
