Women’s History Month
The month of March is Women’s History Month. It began as a local celebration in Santa Rosa, California. The Education Task Force of the Sonoma County (California) Commission on the Status of Women planned and executed a “Women’s History Week” celebration in 1978. (woman’s history.org.)
For 45 years, we have been celebrating Women’s History. It started off being a week, but lobbying turned it into a month-long celebration. O Ministries Inc will celebrate women and their accomplishments this month. The theme of Women’s History Month 2023 is “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories,” a theme that honors women in every community who have devoted their lives and talents to producing art and news, pursuing truth, and reflecting society year after year.
A lot of progress has been in the women’s movement; however, there is still much more equal rights work to do. As the work continues, let us raise our spiritual banners in prayer for equality against inequality for ALL women choosing to make a difference in the world. There are many ways to support women in making a difference. Supporting women’s non-Profits is a major way to support women.
