“Pay to all what is due: tax to whom tax is due, customs to whom customs, respect to whom respect, honor to whom honor.” Romans 13:7
Many times we CELEBRATE black history from an iconic level. But we must never forget GOD has AMBASSADORS everywhere. They are International, National, and Local. They have been PURPOSELY put in place to bring Glory to GOD’s name. I am one of them. And, you are too. I would like to highlight a local black female minister, ministry leader, author, mother, and grandmother.
Dr. Minister Sharon Watson
She is...BLACK HISTORY ON A LOCAL LEVEL HEADED FOR NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AS SHE BLESSES THE WORLD.
Dr. Sharon is one of the most recent women in ministry to be ordained and released to serve all nations.
She was faithfully married for thirty-one years before the demise of her beloved husband. From their blended family of love, they have six children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Dr. Sharon Watson received her B.S. Degree from the University of Arkansas @ Pine Bluff. She received her master's and doctorate degrees from Vision Theological University in Irving, Texas.
The voice of GOD called Dr. Sharon to ministry in 2003. She pondered the call for many years until the pressure of disobedience propelled her to OBEY without delay. She joyfully announced her calling to all who would listen and appreciate another Christian soldier on the battlefield for the LORD.
For fourteen years, she served as a public and private school educator. Her outstanding teaching style for intellectually challenged students awarded her “Teacher Of The Year.” She also served as a lead teacher and co-leader for the motivational team to improve school beautification and teacher morale.
Church leadership is dear to her heart. She served in her local church for fourteen years as the young women’s spiritual education servant leader.
Dr. Sharon owned and operated her Faith-based, National Accredited preschool for 23 years in Dallas, Tx. There she served as the Executive Director and facilitated Bible study, weekly chapel, and hosted countless programs and activities. In 2009 she was awarded the David Munson Director of the year award. Dr. Sharon Watson was known by her pre-school parents as a minister on the move, a prayer warrior, and an encouraging listening mentor. It was the ministry behind the RED DOOR in the executive office. Truly Dr. Sharon uses every opportunity to bloom where GOD plants her.
In 2019 she experienced a major shift in her life. Her thirst to minister in an un-inhibited manner consumed her every thought. After fasting and praying about her desire to go into full-time ministry, she decided to close the preschool doors and pursue MINISTRY FULL TIME.
Then, in 2020 GOD’s long-time promise to her came to fruition. O.Ministries Inc. virtual doors were launched full time. Since the ministry’s launching to the present, the ministry’s impact has grown and continues to grow. Dr. Sharon testifies that her ministry is total OBEDIENCE UNTO GOD.
Dr. Sharon believes in education. She believes everyone must follow their dreams no matter their age. And she did just that. Dr. Sharon pursued and was awarded her Chaplaincy certification in 2017 from the International Fellowship Of Chaplains. She is a SENIOR ORDAINED CHAPLAIN. And, in January 2021, Dr. Sharon Launched the O.Ministries Inc. Mobile and Virtual Chaplaincy Ministry.
Currently, Dr. Sharon is learning how to operate all social media platforms that she is on effectively. She is the servant leader and facilitator to her Arkansas Family Prayerline; she does a mid-week live manna time on Facebook weekly. She hosts her own radio show entitled The Weekend Manna Show @Fishbowl Network, and she serves as Chaplain for the African American Grandmother’s Gathering Organization. She also has a Sunday Virtual Worship Service via a teleconference call line.
To GOD be all the GLORY for all the things He has allowed in the life of Dr. Sharon Watson. As you can see, Dr. Sharon Watson may be one of GOD’s newest discovered Ambassadors, but she has been doing ministry work before and since she answered the call to ministry in 2003.
Saluting Dr. Minister Sharon Watson
